News & Notes
In response to recent requests, MLC is developing new programs to target specific ministry needs: a Master of Science in Educational Administration for principals and early childhood directors, a Master of Theology for teachers and staff ministers, and a state licensure option in learning disabilities.
May 17 is graduation at Martin Luther College, and we hope every graduate faculty member can attend.
Those planning to graduate on May 17 must submit their application for graduation by April 1. Graduates receiving their master’s and bachelor’s degrees participate in the same ceremony, but graduate students wear their master’s hoods and sit together. They “walk the stage” after the undergraduates receive their degree. Following the service, master’s graduates, their families, and graduate faculty members enjoy fellowship at a special reception in the library.
Graduate Professor Dr. Alan Spurgin presented two sectionals at the Northern Wisconsin District Teachers' Conference on February 14, 2014, in New London, Wisconsin, with over 100 people attending the sectionals. The presentation focused on how children with special gifts and talents can challenge even the most experienced of teachers.
Martin Luther College (MLC) and Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary (WLS) are proud to present the ninth annual Hebrew Institute. Led by Professor Thomas Nass, the Hebrew Institute will take place June 30 - July 4, 2014, on the WLS campus and again on the MLC campus July 14 - 18, 2014.
