Tuition Freedom Day

January 29, 2014

There are many reasons for MLC students to be thankful. One whale of a reason is the generosity of the many brothers and sisters across the globe who freely give of their financial resources so that the cost for MLC students to prepare for ministry can be more affordable. On January 29, the MLC family will celebrate Tuition Freedom Day. Similar to "tax freedom day", Tuition Freedom Day signifies the point in the academic year when student tuition and fees stop paying the operational costs of the college, and gifts from our WELS churches, individuals, and Uncle Sam kick in to cover the rest. This year, the students will again participate in a thank-a-thon to express their appreciation.
