Art show to raise money for mural
The Student Art Association is raffling off artwork to fund a mural project on Midland Lutheran's campus. SAA is exhibiting a selection of artwork in Kimmel Art Gallery through Nov. 23.

The Midland Lutheran College Board of Trustees has named Fremont native Dr. Benjamin Sasse as president-elect of the 126-year old liberal arts college.

Future teachers use pumpkins to teach math
Children of parents participating in the Washington Midland Connection were treated to a personal encounter with a pumpkin.  Their guides were elementary education majors - enrolled in the Midland Lutheran College math methods course - who provided a variety of math activities using a pumpkin.

A classic Neil Simon comedy is taking the stage at Midland Lutheran College this week. "Brighton Beach Memoirs" runs Thursday through Sunday at the Kimmel Theater on the college’s campus.

Quality takes on new meaning for student leader
The Midland Lutheran College Student Leadership Team is hosting the college’s fourth Fall Leadership Conference. This year, the conference is focusing on quality. Conference co-coordinator Jordan Meyer, a junior Business Management/Accounting major, said he has always been around quality, but coordinating a conference is a whole new experience.

Poets participate in Great Plains Poetry Pile-up
Poets from across the Midwest gathered in Fremont this weekend for the Great Plains Poetry Pile-up. Hosted by Midland Lutheran College, the two-day event featured workshops and a poetry slam tournament.
