Why did I choose Midland Lutheran College? I liked that it was located in my home town. I never attended a large high school, so the small college life fit me a lot better than a state college would have. Faith is a large part of my life, and since MLC is a faith-based college, it just made sense to come here.
What do I like best about being a student at Midland Lutheran College? The thing I like best about being a student at MLC is that I matter. I can walk down the sidewalk and recognize everyone’s face and have a conversation with them all. I can talk to professors at any time, and have them be willing to go above and beyond in order to help me.
What I believe to be my most noteworthy contribution to Midland Lutheran College? I would like to believe that my most noteworthy contribution to MLC is the example I set for the younger students. I looked up to the upper classmen a lot when I was a first-year student so I know how much influence I carry as a junior. I try and be as active as possible, courteous to everyone I meet, work hard at my school work, be professional when needed, but also to not be afraid to have fun.
The core value(s) I uphold in my daily actions as a student? I try and reflect all 5 core values in my daily life, but I struggle just like everyone else. I believe that I uphold quality and respect the best in my daily actions as a student. I strive to be an influential and collaborative student.
What is one thing others may not know about me? My favorite cookie is oatmeal butterscotch.
