 Giving to Midland

Imagine a how Midland could build even more upon the growing foundation of a world-class learning environment, enthusiastic student involvement, extraordinary leadership and dedicated service. Right here, right now, this is being made possible through the commitment of alumni and friends who give to the college each year. Whether large or small, all sizes of gifts are significant in the lives and education of Midland students.

And MLC donors are giving more than money. They are giving their support, their confidence and their commitment to the continued excellence of MLC. Thank you in advance for partnering with us to impact students’ lives. There is no other investment that holds as great a return.

Midland Lutheran College qualifies as a Thrivent GivingPlus ® recipient. That means that your gift, if you are a Thrivent member, is eligible for a 50% match by Thrivent. Simply complete and include the GivingPlus ® Member Gift Form with your gift. The following is valuable information regarding this program, which you may even find useful for your own organization:

  • You are automatically a Thrivent member if you own an insurance policy from, or have an investment through Thrivent Financial for Lutherans.
  • The 50% match applies to all gift(s) totaling up to $600 per calendar year. This is for Thrivent Members and Thrivent Associate Members.
  • Any family member 16 years or older residing with you can fill out the Family Membership Application. Gifts can then be made to Midland Lutheran College in their name and would be eligible for the same matching limits described above, therefore increasing the match available from your household. (Example, instead of one gift to MLC of $1,800 being matched on only the first $600, three family members each giving $600 to MLC instead, would have all $1,800 eligible for matching.)
  • Stock or mutual fund share transfers are also eligible.
  • The matching gift received will be designated to the same fund, project or scholarship as the original gift.
