Education: BS Family Studies from the University of Nebraska-Kearney
Territory: Central Nebraska (Hwy 183-Hwy 281), Omaha Public Schools, Elkhorn, Mt. Michael, Bennington, DC West, Wyoming, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota and Wisconsin
Hobbies: Baking (especially Oreo balls), traveling, shopping, fishing, relaxing on the lake, being crafty, playing volleyball, watching football and my favorite - laughing
Ideal Vacation Spot: Alexandria, Minn.! My family goes here every year for a week and we spend time fishing, going on boat rides, shopping, playing cribbage and -most importantly - laughing!
Favorite Place on Campus: Cross at the Center! Because Christ is at the Center of our lives, it is at the Center of our campus, and it is always running: Rain, snow, or shine. Even though it is not on our campus, I also love Memorial Field where our football team plays. I watched my high school play there, and now you can find me in the stands cheering on the Warriors!
Favorite Dining Hall Food: The ladies in the dining hall make the best chocolate chip cookies. And the chicken noodle soup is pretty amazing too.
Advice for Seniors: Don’t be afraid to ask questions, that's what we're here for. Make sure to visit campus and take that day to live a day in the life of a college student: Talk to professors, eat in the dining hall, take a Warrior Walk with a StAR, visit with financial aid, and then after the day is over, ask yourself “Can I see myself being apart of the Warrior family?”
Favorite Sports Team: Hands down, win or lose, HUSKERS AND RED SOX!!!
Fun Fact About Yourself: I can’t just list one because there are so many - I’m a uber klutz…(just ask anyone in the office). I am vertically challenged and sometimes I get the laugh attacks and can’t stop laughing no matter how hard I try.
Family: My mom and dad still live in Fremont along with most of my extended family. My older sister is a first grade teacher here in Fremont, and I hope to add to the Karlin family soon with a puppy!
